Karen Edwards

£0.00
Karen Edwards is originally from the North West of England and is now living in East Sussex. She has recently graduated from the Royal Drawing School’s Online Drawing Development Year (ODDY23).

Her practice is primarily focussed on drawing en plein air, inspired by the beautiful East Sussex countryside, its ancient woodland and organic forms in gardens.

When back in the studio, drawings may be developed into short limited editions of 8-12 prints, normally linocuts which are hand printed at home. She enjoys various types of printmaking, including experimental dry point work using Tetra Pak and pushing the boundaries of relief printmaking.

‘Backwards through a hedge’ a linocut reduction print is currently on the shortlist for the Royal Academy’s Summer Exhibition 2024, whilst ‘Sky over Skye’ was recently long listed for the Jackson’s art prize 2024.
