Graeme Reed | The Story of Art
Screenprint
Image size: 31 cm x 43.6 cm
Paper size: 38 cm x 55 cm
Edition of 7
Price: £200 unframed
Graeme Reed’s work explores fictionalised and playful portraiture while teasing us with art historical references.
His current work uses the historical legacy of portraiture to explore aspects of the human condition like belonging, seeking approval and personal identity. His ‘fictionalised’ characters are presented ambiguously, seeking both our approval and our condemnation; ‘fitting in’ but ‘standing out’ at the same time. They are often surprising and sometimes menacing. Graeme Reed studied Fine Art Printmaking at Chelsea School of Art.
This artwork is also available to purchase via Own Art for £20 per month. To request an Own Art application or for more information about the Own Art process contact rebecca@woolwichprintfair.com
