Katja Lang's works take us with lonely walkers into quiet wide landscapes and spaces of wintry and melancholic atmosphere. The interesting linear and two-dimensional hatched compositions radiate a very special epic magic.
Katja Lang was born in 1968 in Karl-Marx-Stadt, now known as Chemnitz, a city in western Saxony, Germany.
She studied architecture at the Dresden University of Technology from 1988 to 1993, then pursued a Master’s degree in painting and graphic arts from 2007 to 2009 at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts under Elke Hopfe.
Since 2016, Katja Lang has been living between Berlin and Chemnitz.
