Media Dimensions: 106 x 146 cm
Image Dimensions: 100 x 140 cm
Unique Work
Framed Only
Ella West explores the entangled relationship between nature, human culture and the ground through printmaking and sculpture. Imagery of rock formations and megaliths appear as recurring motifs that monumentalise the rock as a living, moving and benevolent force. In her recent screen print series, speculative landscapes are depicted within which workers clean and maintain stone monuments, asking how performing acts of care for the landscape might shape our notion of home. Ella works primarily in printmaking from her London-based studio, alongside working as a Technician at The Institute of Making, UCL. She graduated from her MA in Fine Art Media (Slade School of Art) in 2022 and has exhibited across the UK and US.
