from £620.00

Screenprint

Media Dimensions: 56 x 76 cm

Image Dimensions: 50 x 70 cm

Edition of 50

Framed/unframed

The issues that revolve around Donald Shek’s work are grounded in identity and symbolism.  He questions the ideas of cultural origins and our perceptions of the world around us and of ourselves.  Within the current digital age and globalization, information especially in the visual format and how it is displayed is ever-increasingly questionable with regards to truth. Donald is a second-generation British-born Chinese Artist from Liverpool, practising in London utilizing screen printing, drawing, and digital media as his main mediums.  Donald creates environments that straddle between the digital and the real, creating these ‘third’ spaces that hark back to his cultural hybridity.
