ARROW LAI Siu-Wai personal experience of Hong Kong's changes and the post-colonial transition has led to questioning of his self-identity living in the city. ARROW LAI's project "2047" explores research in artificial intelligence, from archival images to Al-generated images and transformation into woodcuts.   For the "2047" project, Arrow traced a series of archival images of Hong Kong's past National Day fireworks display and created a new series of woodcut prints using artificial intelligence technology. The woodcut from the"2047" series unfold the boundary between real and virtual, integration of the past and the future of the fireworks from his imagination.   The "2047" firework woodcut project represents a magnificent public spectacle through the dynamic, energetic, and vital visual impact. The project also reflects the artist's use of Al generation technology to explore self-identity, inviting the public to step back and gaze upon a fireworks scene that integrates the past and the future, the visible and the invisible.
