£0.00
Scherry Shi is a London based multidisciplinary artist with a MA in Print from the Royal College of Art. Her works explore the relationships between a place and its people: how places shape and impact a person and community’s identity over time and in turn, how diasporic individuals adapt to a place and reconstruct the place as their own.

Having lived in different countries with diverse cultural backgrounds, Scherry is interested in the idea of diasporas and diasporic identity and belongings from both an individual’s and a collectives’ perspectives in an unpredicted, fast-changing world. She works across the expanded field of printmaking, photography, textile, sculpture, and installation. Through working predominately on tactile materials as a part of her visual languages: handmade paper, fabrics, and preowned personal objects; she intends to create and reconstruct spaces and evoke a sense of place in relation to its inhabitants.
