Molly is a printmaker & painter living in Suffolk, with a First Class BA Hons degree in Fine Art. She has always been absorbed by nature, landscape and memories, whether it be from growing up in rural Norfolk, to living in Australia and on the edge of the Peak District or exploring her father’s home in the vast landscapes of Montana.
These themes permeate Molly’s work, whether on large scale metal paintings, unique monotypes or minutely crafted mezzotints' documenting the drastic decline in UK birds, which has become the Red List Series.
This collection of work in particular has been a direct, emotional response to Molly’s concern over the climate crisis. She is inspired by vintage nature books', which reflect a time when their populations were of no particular concern. The books are used to inform her work by comparing past thoughts and attitudes with current statistics on populations. The red list bird prints are 1:1 in scale and are printed in small, precious editions to reflect their dwindling populations.
