Carolina Laia Jozami
Carolina Jozami is an Argentinian curator based in London. She is a Curatorial Fellow at the Whitechapel Gallery, and holds a Master’s degree in Latin American and Argentinian Art History. Her research interests include the reconstruction of ephemeral artworks and its relevance, as well as the role of geographical and temporal displacement in relation to the creation of artworks and exhibitions.
Exhibitions she has curated include: Archive Gallery within Donald Rodney: Visceral Canker (2024) at the Whitechapel Gallery; Ferrari Infinito, prints by León Ferrari (2021) at Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes (Argentina); Space is a Body in Transit (2023) R.A.R.O residency (Buenos Aires); Voluble: Future Images, Julia Sbriller & Joaquin Wall (2022) at Galería Quimera (Buenos Aires); Incidences (2021) Galería Jacques Martinez (Buenos Aires), among others.
She worked for over ten years in large public and private art institutions in Argentina, such as the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, Palais de Glace-Palacio Nacional de las Artes and Espacio de Arte Fundación OSDE. In Winter 2023, she was in residence at the Delfina Foundation, London.
